The short version
Nothing you type into this site leaves your browser. The site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or ad tracking. Every form is a demonstration that checks what you entered and then tells you nothing was sent.
What this site collects
- Forms. The email signup, the can pickup order, the booking request and the contact form all run in your browser. They check the fields, show a message, and send and store nothing.
- Cookies. The site sets none. There is no age gate that remembers you and no login.
- Analytics and ads. None. The site does not count visits or track where you click, and it carries no advertising pixels.
- Fonts. The typefaces are served from this site by Next.js, so loading a page does not call Google Fonts or any other font service.
- The open-now line, the events list and the Flight Board. These are worked out in your browser from the posted hours and the tap list. The add-to-calendar files are made on your device too.
- Hosting. Like any web host, the service that delivers these pages (Vercel) sees the technical details of each request, such as your IP address and the page you asked for, to deliver it and keep the service secure. We do not use those records.
What a live site would collect
If Breaker Room were a working brewery, its site would collect a little, only when you choose to hand it over, and only for the job in front of it.
The email list
Your email address, and nothing else. The signup would have its own checkbox, unticked until you tick it, saying what we send: new beers, events and the odd note from the brewhouse. Every email would say who it is from and carry a one-click unsubscribe. Unsubscribing takes effect right away, well inside the ten business days Canada’s anti-spam law (CASL) allows.
Pickup orders
Your name, a phone number or email, the cans you ordered and the pickup window you chose. We would use it to have the order ready and to reach you if something sold out. ID is checked at the counter and not copied or recorded.
Booking requests
Your name and contact details, the date, the headcount, the space and a rough budget, so we can tell you what fits and hold the date. A deposit would be paid through a card processor, and we would never see or keep your full card number.
Messages
Whatever you write in the contact form, with your name and email, delivered to the inbox for its topic so the right person replies.
Your choices
A business in British Columbia handles personal information under the province’s Personal Information Protection Act. Under it you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and withdraw your consent, for example by leaving the email list. Ask and we will answer.
Questions about privacy
Write, call or come by. A person at the brewery reads it and answers.
