Where is Breaker Room Brewing?
At 11 Turbine Hall Road in Dynamo, BC, in the old hydro powerhouse on the Kootenay River. It is on Highway 3A, 15 minutes east of Castlegar and 25 minutes west of Nelson.
What are your hours?
Tuesday to Thursday 3 PM to 10 PM, Friday noon to 11 PM, Saturday 11 AM to 11 PM, Sunday 11 AM to 8 PM. Closed Mondays. The kitchen closes an hour before the doors.
Can I bring my kids?
Yes, with an adult, inside and on the patio until 8 PM. There is a kids' menu, highchairs and a change table. The bar rail is adults only.
Are dogs allowed?
On the patio, on a leash, yes. Inside, only service dogs.
Is the building accessible?
Yes. Step-free entry from the parking lot, one level inside, an accessible washroom by the bar, and two accessible parking stalls next to the door.
Beer
Ordering your first round, and the round for whoever is driving.
What is a flight?
Four 5 oz tasters of any beers on the board, poured light to dark on a paddle, for $12. It is the best way to find your beer on a first visit.
Is there anything for the designated driver?
The driver of your table drinks free all night from the no-alcohol list: the house root beer, hop water, cold brew, coffee and pop.
Groups and take-home
Tables for a crowd, tours, and beer for the fridge.
Do you take reservations?
Tables of six or fewer are walk-in. For seven or more, or a trivia team table, book ahead. For fourteen or more, see private bookings.
Can I buy beer to take home?
Yes. Five of our beers come in 473 mL four-packs, and any beer on the board can be filled into a 946 mL crowler at the bar. You can order cans ahead for pickup at the counter. ID is checked at pickup.
Can I order beer online for delivery?
No. Cans are pickup only, at the taproom counter or from the stores on the stockist list.
Do you run tours?
Saturdays at 1 PM and 3 PM, 45 minutes, $25 with a flight at the end. 19+ and closed-toe shoes. Private tours for eight or more on other days.
